Keeping an open mind on gasification. Proposal for hempfest 2008 demonstration turning hemp into electricity through biomass gasification. I saw this on Youtube and thought i should share.
The more people we inform about the extraordinary benefits and characteristics of industrial hemp the closer we get to eliminating DEA constraints on cultivation of industrial hemp.
Supporters need to remind the unaware that industrial hemp is not narcotic, needs no pesticides or herbicides, and very little water to grow on even marginal land. Moreover, industrial hemp is the perfect substitute for all fossil fuels and, eliminates the need to rape our forests.
Before the smear/racist campaign launched by the Hearst Newspapers in 1920-1937 America produced millions of tons ofCannabis sativa L/ hemp. Medical science had developed beneifical and inexpensive remedies. Homes were built from processed hemp, as were thousands of other products.
Now, we are telling our farmers in N. Dakota and elsewhere that we are going to import more and more hemp products rather than allow these farmers to cultivate hemp and benefit from the growing U.S. demand for hemp products.
How stupid is that??
Please, Read Jack Herer's, "The Emperor Wears No Clothes", and spread the word.

Ben,
Great demo. Way to inspire people from outside the box.
4 tons = 400 gal. gas equiv. per acre! The average useage per vehicle per year here in Humboldt Co. CA, is only 500 gals per year. Plus hemp seed oil. Wow.
What is it going to take to convince folks. VictoryGas, what a concept.
I'll start growing my acre here on the outskirts of Eureka as soon as we convince Obama to legalize hemp production for the good of the country. When it does happens George Washington's words will be fulfilled again. "Growing Hemp is the duty of every American."
