Victory Gasworks- Gasifiers and Wood Gasification

Chris Seymour is going to be sharing with us some of his research into GTL and I am playing around with Fischer Tropsch refitting on the Off Gridder so it is time for a group.

Liquid fuels make sense for a variety of reasons, but mostly energy storage and synergy with current infrastructure. It also releases heat that we can harness for CHP. Plus it will appease diesel engine owners. I'm excited about F-T. Maybe we can make some fuels that Lister owners can actually use.

Here are 4 different types of reactors that have been employed.

http://www.Fischer-tropsch.org is a great resource for old patents and documents and a good starting point. Anyone making liquid fuels already?

I have tought of trying to condensate the gases you get wen distilling wood and producing charcoal to get a liquid stoquable and then use the charcoal for gazifcation = CO for fuel , gen heating or else
