Is There an End to the Bad News?

I have no TV, get no newspapers and lately have spent only a very small amount of time online and yet the bad news still bleeds through my filters. It's not just the media, but also people I know and the calls I get from people that think this thing is going in the toilet. I can't seem to disagree with them. We have become a nation of victims and failure is what victims do. Luckily you are one of the minority that are willing to learn new things and take action to ensure your life lives on relatively uninterrupted. For that I am grateful to know you and share this online space with you.

Part of the inspiration for the naming of Victory Gasworks came from the small gardens people kept during WWII called Victory Gardens. Self reliance is more important now than ever. As we approach the New Year, please consider acquiring some seeds, reading all you can and by all means build a gasifier; even if its just a 55 gallon drum and a garbage can. After all, the global financial system is really just a confidence game and there is no telling how low that confidence can go. Your money might be more valuable as fire starter than anything else? I wrote a blog post over at my new blog wood-gas.com (only one post so far) that echo's these sentiments.
