I just noticed your question on my carburation.
I made an intake flange out of plate steel and made it fit right onto the head of the engine. I had the genny running a little with the carb on, but, it wasn't perform how I wanted. I made a set up using air line fittings and a ball valve to control the air mixture. After that, my genny fires up, almost, whenever I want.
