The credit of advancing science has always been due to individuals and never to the age. Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (1749-1832)

"The human mind thinks but to complicate. As soon as one problem is solved, that solution introduces new complications, other problems that perhaps did not exist before. That was one of my great troubles when I was younger, I invented many things that were very fine, but always I was getting into complications. I have had to work very hard to overcome that".

It's Called EATR!

The purpose of the Energetically Autonomous Tactical Robot (EATR)™ (patent pending) project is to develop and demonstrate an autonomous robotic platform able to perform long-range, long-endurance missions without the need for manual or conventional re-fueling, which would otherwise preclude the ability of… Continue

Liquid metal systems for gasification-based power generation or (LMG)

The basis of the the Liquid metal system is a molten metal reactor ( Iron / Tin) for a cycle of oxidation and reduction of the iron to produce carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen (H2) in separate and distinct streams, which “can be used to create electricit… Continue

BIOCRETE (ash for the production of concrete)

Carbon to Cement

I know Ben's not planing on putting in a basement but BioCrete could be a environmental option.

Research was done to determine the possible uses of fine-grained solid gasification residues in concrete products. Due to the residues' chemical composition, compacted… Continue

A Stove So Cool, Its A Fridge.

The multi-functional stove called SCORE, a stove for cooking, refrigeration and electricity generation works by converting heat into acoustic energy, which in turn is converted into electricity with a linear alternator. Due to its highly efficient nature, the stove can r… Continue

(A closer look at Direct Carbon Fuel Cells: the ultimate biomass conversion technology? )

I saw that Ben mentioned solid oxide fuel cells in the last post
and remembered reading about this.

A (Direct carbon fuel cell) or (DCFC) Uses solid carbon as fuel instead of gases.

DCFC's can use a large number of carbon-rich fuels, but organic waste and biomass are at the center of the attention because they are… Continue

Oh it will produce high volume like that, I arranged the timimg of valves in a 5hp gas motor to work as a two cycle to run on air ( compress and release and it works great)

Nope, I'm in placerville, ca. My wife is from Omaha and it was originally her YouTube account. I really should sign up for my own so I stop confusing folks. Anyhow, glad to meet ya and next time I'm back there visiting her family, we will have to get together and gasify something.

Chris you have great stuff. I built a compressor system from a ford compressor for use in my foundry and other experiments.
I am putting some pictures of it on my page.

Great reply From Wayne Baker

Interesting.

My uncle worked for a propane company his whole life and they used an AC compressor to move gas from one place to another. Gas not Liguid.
Just an AC compressor off a car.
He says it works great and there is no chance of explosion!
There are 2 types of compressors. The old style (piston) and the new style that has been in use for at least 20 years. (the round one)

With an automotive comp. you can activate the clutch electrically. So controlling the compressing between 2 different outputs should be easy. From flame to storage.

Later Wayne
